Well, we made it through a week at girl's camp. It was Kelley's first year and she did really well. She had a great group of girls in her cabin. She really liked swimming in the lake. The weather couldn't have been better, not to warm. It was nice to feel the warmth of the sun. We did get a nice thunder shower but it didn't last long. We heard thunder for the last 3 days but nothing close. That put Kelley a little on edge since she is not fond of thunder but she made it through. Kevin said that this was one of the better camps. Not a lot of problems to deal with. It seemed to go really well as far as I could tell. The testimony meeting on Friday night was really good and that is the way to tell whether we did our jobs at camp.
This is a picture of the lake area that we can't go to. I was trying to get a picture of the white pellicans but I couldn't zoom in tight enough. This gives you a little idea about the area in which the camp is. The lake is beautiful and really big. It is usually always cold especially this time of year. That wasn't enough to discourage some of the girls and leaders from getting in. It takes a really hot day for me to get into the lake. It is nice to swim in when we are there later in the season like the end of July beginning of August.
